I have worked with Arup for 16 years and currently lead Arup's Advanced Technology and Research practice in the UK – a group of talented engineers who use numerical modelling and first principles techniques to solve challenging engineering problems.

The projects I've been involved in at Arup have ranged from vibration mitigation studies on London's Millennium Bridge to electric vehicle research programmes.

I have also worked with the humanitarian medical aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières as a logistician in Sierra Leone and am currently serving as a Board Director and Trustee. I'm a firm believer that as engineers, what we do, why we do it and the impact it has on users, industry and society is as important as how we do it.
