I champion developing global practice that demonstrates how the way we invest in the built environment could be made very much more effective if the public and private sector adopted sustainable development principles.

In April 2011 I left Arup to set up The Ecological Sequestration Trust. The charity aims to bring together world-class scientists, engineers, planners, social and political experts, and economists. Its goal is to establish (through regional demonstrator projects) low-carbon, economically attractive development pathways to improved water, energy and food security.
