I am President of the Institute for Integrated Economic Research, an independent non-profit research institution I founded in 2007. The key focus of the IIER is the integration of macroeconomic theory with resource-based views, financial market analysis and human behaviour, in order to develop systemic views of our human economic system.

The story behind my founding of the IIER lies in my mystification with traditional macroeconomics which began when I studied economics in university. I was able to mathematically follow the models of how the ‘big picture’ of the economy works, but I could never connect the underlying concepts to the reality I saw with my own eyes.

Prior to IIER I had a very ‘conventional’ career in industry and consulting, working for IT and life sciences companies and for some large global management consultancies, with assignments in Europe, the Americas and in Asia.
