I am the Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, a leading venture capital firm and early investor in a number of pioneering companies, including: Baidu, Hotmail, Skype, SpaceX, Synthetic Genomics, and Tesla Motors.

In my past, I was R&D Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, where seven of my communications chip designs were fabricated. My previous technical experience includes programming, materials science research and computer design.

I worked in product marketing at Apple and NeXT, and before that, at Bain; and I developed executive marketing, sales, engineering and business strategies for a wide range of technology companies.

I was elected 'The Valley's Sharpest VC' on the cover of Business 2.0 and chosen by the SF Chronicle and SF Examiner as one of 'the ten people expected to have the greatest impact on the Bay Area in the early part of the 21st Century'.

I was honoured as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and a Distinguished Alumnus by St. Mark's, where I was the 2010 Commencement Speaker.
