I am Chairman of the Arup Trust heading the Board of Trustees. Formerly I held the position of Arup Group Chairman (2004-2009) responsible for the overall strategic direction of the firm.
I have a background in civil engineering and economics and previously held the position of Chairman - Global Transport Market (2009-2011).
Earlier I led Arup’s Infrastructure division, where my role centred on consulting, infrastructure and managing major projects.
I have been selected to be the next President of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) and I am a member of Infrastructure UK Advisory Council. I am also a non-executive director of Crossrail Ltd.
