I am Emeritus Professor of Design at Goldsmiths, University of London, where I was Deputy Head of Fine Art in the 80’s, before launching some of the first ‘green’ design degrees to combine ethics with enterprise (e.g. MA Design futures).
I co-founded the ‘Writing-PAD Network’ and its ‘Journal of Creative Practice’ (co-edited with Julia Lockheart).
I have written books on human presence in virtual space, and ‘micro-utopias’ (Gower, 2007) and our team researched metadesign from 2005 until 2010.
I was also a visiting professor in Nagoya, Seoul and Bangkok.
