I am an architect specialising in lighting design, particularly interested in cities and the reasons why certain public spaces work, while others don't.

As one of the contributors to the Nighttime Design initiative within Arup, I have been working on tools to assist Masterplanning and Urban Design with good, long lasting lighting designs, made for people.

As part of a wider family of lighting designers across Arup, I strive for achieving sustainable, technologically up to date lighting designs for our cities. I believe lighting is one of the most important components of architecture, one that most affects people's well-being. It also has the extraordinary ability to inspire and delight.
