I’m a senior transportation planner based in Arup’s Toronto office. My primary interest is in research that informs decision-making. How can we cultivate equitable and just cities? How will emerging trends affect people?

Having lived and worked in Japan, Scotland and Canada, I regularly draw on my international experience and perspective to provide clients with thoughtful, case-specific answers to complex questions.

On a more personal note, one of my favourite activities is exploring neighbourhoods and cities by foot or by bicycle. For me, this is the best way to experience a place.

As a passionate pedestrian, now with two kids, I’ve managed to remain car-free. Instead I've relied on transit, walking and cycling for about 97% of trips. Strollers, wagons and pedestrian carts have helped me enormously.

I left Arup in July 2015.
