An Associate Director at Arup, I am responsible for researching medium and long-term futures with a focus on social and technological factors.
Developing Arup’s foresight and innovation capability, I co-created the Drivers of Change concept which includes my own research on ubiquitous computing in the built environment.
I also work on research projects where my interests in creating interactive, ambient displays that sense, monitor, solicit and feedback information and the intent of influencing behaviour merge.
I’m a Chartered Engineer (IET) and hold a PhD from University College London in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Vision. I’m also a member of the European Commission expert group on the 'Internet of Things'.
