The Leveson Inquiry is investigating the practice...
I have worked for Arup for seven years as an engineer on a wide range of projects.
I am particularly interested in the bigger picture ‘why’ of the engineering industry, i.e. why do we do the things that we do, the way that we do them and can we be more informed to help us do them better, to improve on what’s gone before?
Part of my ‘why’ as an engineer at Arup is to ‘shape a better world’ so the direct, and indirect, consequences of the decisions I and those around me make is very important to me. With this in mind, an influencing factor of the ‘consequence’ of our decisions is the ethics of our behaviour; for individuals, organisations and the engineering industry at large, and you’ll see this influence in my writings for Thoughts.
